Re: [ADSM-L] Is 'Cache Migrate Files' immediate?
2008-03-14 07:49:33
I thought I'd summarize the problem I had and how it was resolved.
Problem: Diskpool is at 100% Util with 0% migratable, MigDelay=0,
MigCont=yes, CacheMigFiles=no. Updating stgpool hi/lo threshold to 0 or
issuing 'migrate stgpool' command results in
ANR4972i "migration is not needed for the storage pool name".
Resolution:
Perform 'move data' on the disk volumes. From 'move data' help:
'When you move files from a random access volume, the server erases any
cached copies of files on the volume.'
After sometime the cached files are removed and the diskpool is back to 0%.
Thanks for your help all.
