A quick list of the files installed with TSM v5.4.1 shows these files which
are not in the normal directory structure.  By copying the binaries you
will still be using these common files,

Also, there are subdirectories under the normal bin dir.  It's possible
that subdirs in the normal bin dir would still be used instead of the
subdirs in a copied dir.

In other words, simply copying the binaries is not sufficient to be running
different versions of TSM on the same AIX instance.  At best one would be
using mixed files from different versions.
