Well, IBM has not been known for updating their APAR web-pages in a timely
fashion.

I had this problem with 5.4 and still have it in 5.5 and as the docs for
5.5 say, the apar is not listed as being resolved. I was on 5.4.1 and was
going to upgrade to 5.4.2 when it came out but 5.5 came out first.

This problem occurs (due to my wonderful IBM 3583 libraries) at least once
every 1-2 weeks and as the APAR says, the only current "workaround" is to
bounce the server.

Now if they would only put out a patch for the 5.5 Linux server. I am
having crashes/cores every 2-weeks on my heavily used 5.5 server (e.g.
over 200 nodes of all flavors). Seems to have something to do with the
workload since my other, identicly configured server which only backs up
Notes data (e.g. for over 135TB occupancy, the DB is only 2GB used), does
not have these crashes. Of course, it is the one that manages the LTO
libraries so I do bounce it due to the above problem. Maybe that helps
reduce the crash-likeliness.

Zoltan,
Look again at that APAR doc:

IBM - IC54107: TSM ANR8833E DURING CHECKIN LIBVOL FOR SOME VOLUMES
http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg1IC54107

My reading is that APAR IC54107 affects only TSM 5.3 and 5.4.
If correct, that is why it is not listed as an APAR fixed in TSM 5.5.

So, I believe, you would best upgrade to TSM 5.5
