Hi Tim,

If you take a look at the APAR I cited, you'll see it refers to the same 
issue as the tech note. The latter is just a "shot-in-the-dark" attempt to 
work around the APAR symptoms. The former has no known solution; we cannot 
reproduce this in the lab, and diagnostic code run by customers is 
successful; then when the diagnostic code is removed and the original code 
reinstated, the problem goes away. My SWAG at this is either a file-system 
timing problem, or current directory in the running TSM processes not 
being what we expect. But attempts to prove these theories (neither of 
which I am "married to", but they are the only things I can think of) 
fail, as I mentioned before, and the problem eventually resolves itself.

So I would recommend taking the action described in the APAR text, which 
is to contact technical support for further assistance.
