This would be a good solution but this is the TSM webclient.
The dsmj seems to come up just fine

Dan,
  You might be able to see what is missing by running "truss -<option>
-o myfile dsmj".  The -a or -e options might list a file or environment
parameter that does not exist or is not correctly set in your path.

Thanks Richard I saw those in the mail archive and other forums but it
did not help.

Do you happen to know the base Solaris 9 packages required for the tsm
client? The TSM client documentation only talks about java requirements
and some patch updates.

We install the base OS and then we build from there.
