Thanks...I did not see anything in the ref manual about having to
delete the file.

After you "release the Volume" and it is varied offline. Delete the
physical file to free the space.

Subject: [ADSM-L] Delete volume does not free up disk space
Hello
I am attempting to delete some volumes from one disk storage pool and
add them to another, but the disk space is not getting released.
I did the following:
upd vol /tsmdata/vol36/tsm1.backup.vol47 access=reado move data
/tsmdata/vol36/tsm1.backup.vol47 delete vol
/tsmdata/vol36/tsm1.backup.vol47
in log:
08/07/07 13:08:31 ANR2208I Volume /tsmdata/vol36/tsm1.backup.vol47
deleted from storage pool
08/07/07 13:08:31 BACKUPPOOL.
08/07/07 13:08:31 ANR1307I Disk volume
/tsmdata/vol36/tsm1.backup.vol47
varied offline.

Has anyone experienced this? Do you have a solution?
