We are starting to plan for upgrading our tsm servers to v5.4, and I'm
confused.

Current setup:  all tsm servers are at TSM v5.3.3

server A - tsmapp (lib client of BOTH tsmlm1 and tsmlm2)
(site 1)

server B - tsmlm1 (dedicated lib manager for site 1 libraries)
(site 1)   tsm1   (lib client of BOTH tsmlm1 and tsmlm2)
           tsm3   (lib client of BOTH tsmlm1 and tsmlm2)

server C - tsmlm2 (dedicated lib manager for site 2 libraries)
(site 2)   tsm2   (lib client of BOTH tsmlm1 and tsmlm2)
           tsm4   (lib client of BOTH tsmlm1 and tsmlm2)

We have 2 sites.  Each site has a dedicated library manager TSM server to
control the libraries at that site.  All TSM servers can access both
library managers and libraries.  This provides offsite electronic
vaulting and backups.

>From reading the v5.4 installation guide about upgrading to v5.4, I
come away with the following thoughts and conclusion . . .

1)  The level of the lib manager must be at the highest level, and so must
be upgraded first.
2)  All servers on the same processor must be upgraded at the same time.
(only one set of binaries on the server!)
3)  All our tsm instances access both library managers.

Conclusion:  Therefore . . . We must upgrade all our TSM instances at the
same time except
for our tsmapp instance which is on it's own processor.

Does this sound correct to ya'll?
