ok thanks,

can we use the dsm.opt file to rename the node for each
disk? for example the image disk would each have a \tsm\dsm.opt file and in
that dsm.opt we could rename the node?

What is the best way to accomplish this?

Thanks,
Juan

If they are all connecting to the TSM server using the same node name,
you can only have one scheduled event run at a time, so they could not
overlap.

Subject: one node with 3 diff schedules possible?

We have a server with which we'd like to run 3 schedules.

We'd like to schedule c: say at 6pm (small diffs everytime)

Then schedule e: and f: as image backups on different schedules.
e: and f: would be large (1+terabyte) backups.

I've looked at creating a seperate TSM scheduler on the client for each
of the 3 schedules we'd like to start. Then the client would need to
schedule these backups.

SO THE QUESTION IS.
WE would like to know if it possible to have the TSM server schedule the
backups?

Hopefully this isn;'t confusing,

JuanPerla
