disk full error

During a restore from one node to another node on a novel network, the
restore failed just short of completion with an error message stating
that the disk was full.  However, a direct inquiry of the target disk
showed it to be at 90% capacity with enough room for the restore to have
completed successfully.  Is there a way to make this restore finish?
