I have two problems installing Client API p/iSeries (AS/400).

iSeries V5R1.

TSM Server:      5,3,4.

Client API:        5.2.2.

1.         When trying to connect itself with servant TSM they appear the
following errors in dsierror.log.

11/30/06   11:37: 11 sessOpen: Failure in communications open call. rc: -53

11/30/06   11:40: 58 GetHostnameOrNumber (): gethostbyname (): errno = 0.


11/30/06   11:40: 58 TcpOpen: Could not resolve host name.

11/30/06   11:40: 58 sessOpen: Failure in communications open call. rc: -53

iSerie has connection with servant TSM (it responds ping).

  1. Trying to solve the problem, download PTF 5.2.2.11 of Client API.

cannot install it because it is for V5R2. Apparently this PTF for V5R1 does
not exist.

Somebody had a similar problem.
