Regarding the Windows return code 1450, note that the "net helpmsg"
command can be useful:

   C:\>net helpmsg 1450

Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service.

While I have no "magic bullet" to correct this immediately, I can offer
the following suggestions and bits of information.

- RC 1450 is indicative of an operating system resource shortage (it is
not to be confused with "out of memory" conditions, which are related to
the virtual address space). Try going to the web site in my sig, and
search on "1450" (without the quotes) for some info that might help (there
are some MS support articles cited about this RC).

- Does a selective backup of just that file fail with a similar message?

- What happens if you try to use the OS "copy" command to copy that file
(assuming the free space exists to make the copy)?

- Is /3GB enabled in boot.ini? I've seen that cause resource shortages,
too, although that has been seen with much larger files (> 100 GB).

Andy

The only dumb question is the one that goes unasked.
The command line is your friend.
