Trying the overflow approach until I get more storage.
When TSM requests a mount from overflow, what command do you use to
insert it back into the library?
TIA

Ummmmmmm....................Buy more tapes ?
We ran for a long, long time with over 400 tapes assigned to a 3583-L72.
Yes, it is an administration headache, but it works (and is much cheaper
than buying a disk farm).
But, if you have the money for a disk farm, go for it. Really depends
upon your needs

Our IBM 3583 tape lib is out of space.
What do you think of this idea?
Acquire disk-based appliance i.e. 3 TB. Use it for primary. Use 3583 for
off site tapes only.
Please advise.
