Hi Eric,

Data Protection clients do not have a "new release" (or even a PTF)
near as often as the BA client does. But, there are still situations
like this where we try to get customers the support they need,
as soon as we can. Sometimes that means, putting this kind of support
into a fix release. Customer always have the option of not
installing a fix release, and waiting for the next PTF or release
of that Data Protection client.

Also note that Microsoft made it quite easy for vendors to add
SQL Server 2005 support because they made almost everything
backward compatible. There were only very minor changes that
had to be made.

Thanks,

Del
