Did you load the correct device drivers? For non-IBM libraries you must load
the TSM Device Driver for those medium changers and
drives.

Problem comes when we define the library within TSM, "define path
servername LTOLIB3 srctype=server destt=libr device=lb5.3.0.3.

Subject: Windows Adic Scalar i2000,TSM 5.3.2

Hi all

Battling to define library path, Adic Scalar i2000.

We have the following configuration in our environment

TSM server 5.3.2 with TSM device drive 5.3.2

Adic Scalar i2000 firmware 300A; (windows driver version 5.2.3790.0) with 12 x
LTO III (windows driver version 6.1.0.9)

Cisco Switch MDS 9509

Windows 2003 operating system, q logics 2340 HBA with windows device driver
9.0.2.11.

We can pick up the library from windows 2003 as Adic Scalar i2000 (We even
tried to configure the library as Adic Scalar i1000) we
pick the drives as IBM Ultrium TD3 SCSI sequential device,

Problem comes when we define the library within TSM, "define path
servername LTOLIB3 srctype=server destt=libr device=lb5.3.0.3.
online=yes" get error I/O error accessing library LTOLIB3 RC=15

Going through the wizard, we get the error message, "error obtaining the
device" on the status field.

We managed to configure the library and use it as a manual device.

Which is the supported configuration with this implementation?

Any help on this regard will be highly appreciated.

Many thanks

Kind Regards,

Reuben
