I too am looking for any way to increase performance.
We have similar issues. We are now backing up 24-Domino servers. The
backups run non-stop, almost 24/7.
>From the client side, I am using the maximum buffers allowed
(/BUFF=8.8192), which did seem to help vs. the default.
Another fly-in-the-ointment is that due to the way the files are
backed-up, you can't send them straight-to-tape. I tried it and saw
thousands of messages in the log, since it performed a tape open/close
for every notes database.

Hello Everyone!
I am not very familiar with TDP for Domino, but I was wondering if
anyone has ever seen such poor performance/transfer rates? What could I
possibly look at to tune these clients? Any suggestions are
