Yeah, I haven't found the TSM integrated features of SYSBACK very
useful.
We do cron scheduled SYSBACKS to a common area on the sysback server,
then do a TSM scheduled archive delete of the area.
We stagger our sysbacks for our nodes over the days of the week to get
all of them done weekly.

Subject: sysback backup procedure on TSM and client server
Dear all,
I manage to get OS backup via sysback done successfully for the
first
time(manually using sysback). However when I try to arrange a schedule
to
backup a sysback script, it doesn't work.
Is there any recommended advice to backup the OS using TSM scheduler
rather than cron job? Any good procedure to do a sysback backup?
I
Thanks and Warmest Regards,
