I have a 3494 with 8 3590-E1A drives and now IBM sold 6 more

How can I use these new drives with the E1A drives on TSM Server
device
classes?

IBM usually provides new IBM tape drive type device integration
information in the TSM server README.SRV file at the software level
which introduced support for that device. In the case of 3590H, that
was TSM 5.1. You'll find that in the FTP area. The Readme topic
title is "Support for IBM 3590 Model Hxx Tape Drives"
