I have 2 questions I hope someone can help me with.,

How does TSM gather data to do a backup? I thought when a backup started,
TSM made a list of files to backup and backed up only those files.
However, we started a backup, yesterday at 2:00 PM, and there was only 38G
of data to be backed up on the Windows 2003 box. As the day progressed
files were added by the user. The backup is still executing, at 9:23 this
morning, and has backed up 96G. Our TSM client is version 5.3.

My 2nd question is - if I cancel this backup, can I restore some files
that it has backed up?

Thanks in advance for the help.

As always, I know this group will be very helpful, and I appreciate it.

Debbie
