hi, Jop and Richard !

the solution is easy: the linux box has to be as wide as the chracters of a
complete line need...

many thanks, best regards

Dierk

Hi Dierk,

Nope, just narrow and wide.
If you want to sort stuff or if you want a wider view try it with the
"-outfile" and import this in a spreadsheet.

Hi,

thanks. it works, i changed sqldisplaymode from narrow to wide.
so now i can read long file names in one line.
but the next columns now are sorted line by line...
are there any other displaymodes ?

regards

Hi,

Try the following:

Set sqldisplaymode wide (you can check the settings with 'q sql' on the
server)

Or spool the output of this command to a file.
Dsmadmc -id=Userid -pa=YourPassword -outfile=NameOfYourFile 'select xxx
...'

Cheers.

hi all !

a select statement in tsm brings right information, but data output was
cut
in several lines: the column is to small.
is there a way to tell tsm-select statements to make columns wider ?

any idea is welcome

regards, Dierk
