Have found StorageTek libraries brilliant with all flavours of TSM on all
flavours of OS's. Support is brilliant as well and the engineers are
fantastic in implementing, migrating (from other libraries) and upgrading on
all different OS's. Currently using L40, L80, L180 and SL500 to name a few.

Have been thru same upgrade from 3583 to L180 - if your engineer is any
good, you'll have very little issues. IBM thought there might be data
integrity issues going from LTO1 to LT02 drives - found no problems... and
this happened well over a year ago.

We are currently upgrading our hardware (IBM 3583 L72 LTO1) to either
StorageTek L80 LTO2 or Quantum M2500 LTO2/3. The decision is made hard
because from a hardware and support perspective other users we have
spoken to can only sing the praises of both. So it will come down to
dollars and interaction with TSM. We have found it hard to find a
Quantum M2500 user who uses TSM also. Are their any user experiences
that anyone could share to help us from a TSM point of view?

Thanks in advance,
