Slow backups from a irix client to TSM server

Good Afternoon.
We have a IRIX client ( 6.5.16) running with TSM client 5.1.6 to a TSM server 
5.2.2 on AIX 5.2
The problem we are seeing is the backup is running very slow.
Other clients are backing up fine so I assume the server is fine.
Is there any problems with the TSM client for IRIX at this level?  I did not 
see a later version for IRIX.
