I found out what was happening. I had a windows schedule that does a net
stop and net start of the TSM service that I had forgotten about.
The reason we set that up was to do snapshots of the TSM db copy volumes
that reside on a netapp filer.

What do you see in the TSM server activity log?

Do you mean that the TSM server ITSELF shuts down and restarts, or it
starts some internal process?

TSM does not "restart" itself.

every morning at around 08:05 hrs TSM seems to do a restart. I would
like to
change this time but I cannot find where this option is set.
