What is the best way to automatically backup the same data at different
intervals?

I want weekly, monthly and yearly backups of the same data on a schedule I
setup, with expiring old data automatically.
What would be nice is;
Node Name
daily backup files
fileA fileB ....
weekly backup files
fileA fileB ....
yearly backup files
fileA fileB ...

Is there a best practices book for this type of backup/archiving?


I prefer to do this with out using different nodes, because I hate to burn
a license for the same node.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,
