If it is on a Windows platform ...you can then use the passwordaccess
generate (like the regular client).
However, on Unix platform...this is true ..you need to use the
passwordaccess prompt. Check the book:

Can I use the Oracle TDP and RMAN with the TSM client password set to
"generate"?  I thought I read or heard that that wasnt possible.
