As the quickfacts say, this is nearly always network configuration
issues. We were seeing them recently and traced the problem back to a
pair of etherchanneled 1gbit adapters, and the configuration of the
switch ports they were attatched to.

I am getting a lot of this in my logs:

08/17/2004 20:25:05 ANS1809W Session is lost; initializing session
reopen
procedure.
08/17/2004 20:25:20 ... successful

Then the backup seems to run later, with no problems. But the backup
still
reports as failed.

Why? ... How can I stop this?

( Windows 2000 server, with TSM server 4.3, different windows clients,
and
this is seen on most clients)
