Dear Listers,

I am trying to make a 5.2.2. linux BA client work on a Suse system.

I can not install becaus the API requires a other API level than the one
thats needed for TDP for Informix ( 5.1.5.0 ).

Next to the BA we have installed TDP for Informix 5.2.1-0 and the API
5.1.5-0.

The TDP runs fine, but when I want to install the BAC it states that it
needs the API 5.2.2. level.

I do not need a 5.2.2. API for my client so i tried to install with:

rpm -ivh --nodeps TIVsm-API-5.2.2.0.rpm

I will try to downgrade my client to the level thats supports the 5.1.5 API.

But this is not my preferred way of solving a problem.

Maybe that somebody solved this in a nicer manner.
