Thks

I now understand how the archive process works.
Always under the impression if you archive a file with a certain set of rules,
it will
stick to those rules, not the new rules when you change the retetion period.

Hi Sean,

The answer to your 1st question can be found by entering:

Q COPYGROUP * * * STANDARD TYPE=ARCHIVE

You've got two answer to your second question and now I'm confused.

Hi All

I would like to know if i have a retention period for 180 days for
Archives in my archive copy group.
I then change this retetion period after a 20 day archiving process
later to 30 days, will the data I have archived
for the past 20 days take the new retention period of 30 days.

Please advice.

Thks
Sean
