Hello TSM Jins,
I am facing problem on TDP while up grading TSM client from 4.1.1 to
5.1.6. The error is as listed below.

Environment:- Sun Cluster 2.2
                  Solaris 2.6
                  TDP for Oracle 2.1.10
                Oracle 8.1.6
Problem :- TDP is not working with TSM 5.1.6 
Remarks:- Latest version of TDP doesn't support Oracle 8.1.6

 
1) Uninstall TSM Client 4.1.1  -> Oracle Connection failed 
Oracle Error->TNS-12500: TNS:listener failed to start a dedicated server
process
2) Installed TSM Client 5.1.6  -> Oracle Connection is OK but TDP 2.1.10
did not work.
        TDP error 
        2/19/2004 16:01:14 ANS1036S invalid option is found in
'/opt/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin/dsm.sys'
Parameter 'COMMMETHOD' 
        Line no: 19.
        Invalid entry : '   COMMmethod         TCPip'
        
02/19/2004 16:01:14 ANS1038S invalid option is found.
02/19/2004 16:01:15 sessOpen: Error 137 from signon authentication.


3) Uninstall TSM Client 5.1.6  -> Oracle Connection failed

4) Installed TSM Client 4.1.1 -> both TSM backup TDP backup is OK
