To the best of my knowledge the scsi id is set by the slot position. When we
boot our TSM server (win2k) with 2 2940 adapters I see the following sign
on: The first adapter shows the Library as scsid 6 and the first (bottom)
drive as scsid 0. The second adapter shows the second drive (which is in
element 257) as scsid 1 and the third drive (element 258) as scsid 2. Hope
this helps.

Trying to add a third LTO1 drive to a 3583 library attached to Windows TSM
server.

3583 is about 9 months old, does not have the "multipath" feature.
The library "sees" there is another drive, but won't let me set the SCSI id.

The LED panel LOOKS like it takes the SCSI iD of 02, but when you display it
again, it always goes back to 0.

Anybody seen this before?
Is this a microcode thing?

Thanks for any help.
