Hi,

I had same problem with 5.1.6.6 client. The guy who is responsible for .Net
Framework at my work said that *.cch.* are only temporary files , .Net
Framework configuration and Security Policy Files.
Before I was told to exclude *.cch.*-files my backup failed with RC=7 You
will also fail to view file premisions i Explorer for *.cch.*- files.

Safe? Yes, should be if the files are temporary.

Hi list,

Using TSM client 5.1.6.7 on a windows 2003 server standard edition,
having .net installed, I get errors since couple of days, that I didn't
got previously :

12/18/2003 02:09:42 ANS1228E Sending of object
'\\XXXXX\c$\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\CONFIG\security.co
nfig.cch.3996.1113346406' failed
12/18/2003 02:09:42 ANS1448E An error occurred accessing NTFS security
information
12/19/2003 02:15:39 ANS1228E Sending of object '\\XXXXX\c$\Application
Data\Microsoft\CLR Security
Config\v1.1.4322\security.config.cch.324.1192848937' failed
12/19/2003 02:15:39 ANS1448E An error occurred accessing NTFS security
information

TSM scheduler service is started with local admin permissions.
What should I do ? Is it safe to exclude those directories, or should I
add option "skipntp yes" in dsm.opt ?
Thanks for your help !

Arnaud
