Another residency for your consideration - to produce a redbook on recovery
strategies with Tivoli Storage Manager.


Residency Announcement:  TI-A401-R01 Tivoli Recovery Management
Considerations

Benefits to Resident:  Residents will expand their insight into the latest
Tivoli Storage Management features and have access to marketing strategists
and development personnel throughout the life of the residency. They will
be able to learn new aspects of the Tivoli Storage Management world and
share the expert knowledge that they have gained as Tivoli professionals to
solve business problems and implement solutions.

The residents will demonstrate best practices for
Linux/UNIX/AIX/Windows/OS/400/zOS environments and show how Tivoli Storage
Management will benefit customer business needs.

The exposure to technical marketing and development staff will position the
residents at the leading edge of the Tivoli Storage Management world, and
will put them in an excellent position to broaden their awareness of
storage software solutions.

This residency provides a unique opportunity to gain worldwide recognition
as a Tivoli Storage professional by sharing your expertise and best
practices with the Tivoli community.


This residency begins 26 Jan 2004, ends 05 Mar 2004 (6 weeks), and requires
3 residents. The residency is running in San Jose CA.

Description:  On this project we will create an IBM Redbook that covers all
aspects of recovery management for all operating systems and platforms.

Objectives:  The objective of this residency is to create an IBM Redbook
that will provide customers, business partners, and IBMers with a guide on
how to accomplish the following:

- Understand the latest Tivoli Storage Management concepts for all
platforms.
- Describe the features and functions of Tivoli Storage Management
products, including Tivoli Storage Manager, Bare Metal Recovery, Disaster
Recovery, and SRM.
- Apply backup and restore concepts.
- Provide best practices for optimal integration and business continuity to
the Tivoli community.

The residency will cover conceptual, theoretical, and Tivoli Storage
Management architecture related topics.
