I have a feeling that a SAN data gateway is an extra piece of equipment
that is used only for server-free data movement. A SAN switch is something
different, and is the normal way to connect drives to the server.

I hope 'normal' SAN failover works, because IBM are suggesting it for us in
their latest upgrade offer!
