Hello Everyone

I have the (perhaps) crazy idea that having backupsets around can help my
restore time even if they reside on a library controled by the TSM server. I
have a server with around 400,000 small files and over 150 Gigs. I can't do
Image Backups cause files reside on an old NAS. I have an average backup
trhoughput of about 6 Mb/Sec but restore is not good: 2.2 Mb/Sec. I got the
idea that if I do periodic backupsets and restore from those, even though
they'll be traveling trough the network, restore tiem will decrease.

Is all this real or am I missing something? How do backupsets integrate in
your backup strategy?
