Hi!
You can not kill the Open File Module with a software. The only way to kill a 
OFM software is to reboot.
That is becuse the OFM software is so deep in the software so if you should 
killit then should you got a blue screen.
But about your problem.
I have see the same problem before but with another Open File software and with 
another software.
But there was no problem with the software. The problem was with a unique file.
So if you can look in the Client log and see if the backup hangs on a specify 
file everytime.
If it hangs on the same file all the time. Please remove that file and the 
backup should work fine now.

I used PSKILL utility with no results :(
I think that 5.2 Client with installed Open File Support module is able to
backup locked files (by other applications)... Am I wrong ?.
Mabye there is some other problem with client itself.

Some ideas ?

Have you tried using the resource kit utility called PSKILL?  I use it all
the time on servers when the scheduler is stuck in a starting state....
All you need is the process number.
Not a solution to the real problem but it save you a reboot!

I have problem with TSM 5.2.0.0 Client on Win2000 Server. An Open File
Support module is installed. The SNAPSHOTCACHELOCATION is set correctly.
When performing incremental backup of filesystem,the operation sometimes
hangs. Once it hangs on C:\WINNT\Temp\somefile, other time on some Outlook
files, etc. This job is starting from scheduler as command file script .
When it hangs, then I have to reboot (hard) machine because there is no way
to kill the tsm session or kill the DOS window.

Some one Can Help Me ?
