My rule of thumb whenever I am in doubt about TSM SQL - look in DB2
manuals!
Whatever they say is the exact answer with only one exception - obviously
TSM is having less functionality implemented. What is in TSM is correctly
described in DB2 but what is described in DB2 might not be implemented in
TSM.

Subject: Learning SQL-queries
Hello,
On the list I see on a regular base sql-queries with something like this:
- CAST(SUM(BYTES/1024/1024)
or
- substr(cast(min(start_time) as char(26)),1,19) as "DATETIME
or
- cast(substr(cast(max(end_time)-min(start_time) as char(20)),3,8) as
char(8)) as "Length
The basic sql I understand now, but I want to know more about 'substr' and
'cast' and so on. Is there some-one who can give me the title of a book
where this is explained or maybe an url or something?
Thanks in advance,
Brian.
