Questions like this have come up again and again.

It's no more possible to restore an image to a "foreign" filesystem than
it is to restore files backed up from a "foreign" filesystem. The b/a
client converts the image's blocks into files; those files contain
structure based on the filesystem they originated from, and those
structures are not compatible with other filesystems (with a very few
exceptions).

It's just not going to happen.
