Standard restoral procedures per Admin Guide.

Your plight emphasizes the need for having multiple simultaneous images
of *SM Database and Recovery Log volumes.  The product itself provides
for up to three images, and they are well worth having, to safeguard
against failures such as you experienced.  Disk is cheap these days:
scrimping and then dealing with downtime costs far more than disks cost.
