John - Do 'Query FIlespace ... F=D' on the old and new filespaces to see all
the characteristics. By any chance does one say Unicode and the other
not? Is the hexadecimal representation of the two filespace names identical?
The latter brings up the knotty issue of client environments versus server
environments in that clients may use odd characters in names whereas the
server does not employ like code pages: what you see on the server in its
character presentation of filespace names may not reveal the reality of the
more intricate encoding used by the client. In such cases you need to rely
upon the hexadecimal - an added complexity for server administrators. The
Admin Ref manual talks about this in the various Filespace commands.
