Thomas - A rather nostalgic error, like we saw in the now-matured
         clients before they fully developed.  This is a definite defect,
so by all means report it.

As a possible circumvention: check the Unix Resource Limits under which
that Linux client runs.  Boosting memory-oriented values may keep it
from bumping its head on the ceiling as it works that large files list.
