Did you mark your primary pool as destroyed?

i.e. UPDATE VOLUME * ACCESS=DESTROYED WHERESTGPOOL=????????

That should keep the restore from trying to use the primary pool.

Subject: restoration from copy pool

TSMers,
I want to restore the files from my COPY POOL tapes assuming that
my
primary pool is lost . I have set up a new server and restored the TSM
DB
and checked in only the COPY POOL Tapes. Now if I try to restore any
file
from a client machine, it is looking for the Primary storage pool tapes
;
not the COPY Pool. Can anyone explain me how exactly the restoration
works
in TSM . Do I need to restore the complete Storage Pool or damaged
volume
to the Primary Pool in order to restore the data ? I will not take it
from
the copy pool if I checkin only the COPY Pool tapes ???

Thanks in Advance,
      Anil.
