make sure the "servername" defined in your "dsm.sys" file is the name of
the tsm server application, not necessairly the hostname of the system
itself. thanks!.

TSM server: TSM 5.1.6.2 running AIX 5.1.
TSM client: TSM client 5.1.5 running HP-UX 11i

I have no problems connecting to the server running commands using 'root'
login.
Any other logins, I got the following messages:
$ dsmc
Tivoli Storage Manager

tsm> q session
