Is it good for LAN-FREE backup?
It is an IBM 3583 library attached to SAN. There is a TSM server, and some
Storage Agent.
The pathes and servers (Storage Agents) are defined.
But the backup data always go through the LAN.
Have anybody any idea?

Hi,
it is OK that you do not see your library in web manager under SHARED
LIBRARIES.
SHARED LIBRARIES view contains libraries, which are connected to other
TSM
servers and this TSM server is library client, which have this library
defined with libtype=shared, which is not your case.

Dear Gyula and Mark,
Thanks for your answers.
I managed to solve the mentioned problem. Now, I can use the QUERY SAN
command successfully. I had to choose the appropriate versions of HBA
driver
and SNIA HBAAPI (qlsdm.dll file).
Now, I try to work step by step. My next aim is to do a LAN-FREE backup
instead of SERVER-free.
I think, I configured everything (drives, library,...), but the backup
data
always go through the LAN. And there isn't any error.
But I realized a strange thing. The QUERY LIBRARY says, that the library
is
shared, however if I see it with the web management interface, I can't
see
any library under the "Shared Libraries" page. Is it possible?

My understanding is, based on the V5.1 Administrator's Guide (windows),
that server-free backups can be done through a datamover device without
SANergy. It has really specific requirements tho, therefore I'm not 100%
sure that the HBA he mentioned supports it.
Should check the SAN GW microcode level too.
