The simultaneous write feature uses the same transactions for
all setup operation.  There is a small window during volume
selection where two storage pools may attempt to update their
volume list at the same time.
Problem conclusion

This APAR serialize this task to prevent the two storage pools
from updating their volume lists at the same time.

In fact, I am using simultaneous write one for my primary pool and the other
one for my DR copy. I cannot disable this feature as such.

Searching www.ibm.com for LATCH002 brings up lots of APARS referencing
simultaneous writes - are you using?  If so disable and try again.

My problem is that as soon as I am starting a backup session (TSM server
version 5.1.1), the TSM server is crashing immediately. The same setup has
been running finr for so long but I don't know why this is causing problem
now.
