I agree. I tried to use the SMP version of 2.4.9-31 that comes with
RedHat 7.1 and the module force loaded but as soon as TSM tried to
contact the library the whole machine locked up.

AFAIK you have to use a specific kernel compile for TSM since it uses
precompilled close source modules.

So your homemade kernel wont work becouase of unresolvede symbols or
maybe your machine will just crash becouase an internal structure is
different in your home made kernel.
