No problems with EXCLUDE that I am aware of. However, if this is your
actual EXCLUDE syntax:
exclude.dir vol1:...\Windows NT *.* Workstation Profile\Recent\
Then it needs to be fixed. If the file specification contains blank spaces
(as does the one you mentioned), then it must be enclosed in quotes, like
this:
exclude.dir "vol1:...\Windows NT *.* Workstation Profile\Recent\"
Also, what is the exact file pattern you wish to exclude (the above
doesn't look right)? Should it be more like this:
exclude.dir "vol1:...\Windows NT Workstation Profile\Recent\*.lnk"
If the above doesn't help resolve the problem for you, then it would be
helpful if you could provide at last one specific example of a
fully-qualified file name you would like to exclude, and the content of
your current include/exclude list.

Subject: Backup Profiles
Hi,
when backing up the user profiles on serveral NetWare 5/6-servers I want
to exclude the *.lnk-files in the specified profiles (e.g. Windows NT 4.0
Workstation Profile\Recent) because they waste capacity on the database.
Unfortunately the filters I made in the dsm.opt-file don t work
(exclude.dir vol1:...\Windows NT *.* Workstation Profile\Recent\). Is this
a well-know problem?
Maybe someone can help me,
Torsten
