make sure NIC is nailed to 100Mbps full duplex mode on switch and in OS .

Perform ftp test on both the interfaces .. compare it ..This is network
and not TSM ..

Subject: Problem in Backing Up TSM client on a different network
segments

Hi All,
Has anyone have the experience of a TSM server
(Solaris 2.8) on a 188.* segment backing up TSM
clients on a different segments (168.*). They could
not ping each other.

The TSM server has been hooked up with an additional
network card and given another IP (168.*). Now they
can ping each other. The TSM clients (AIX) dsm.opt and
dsm.sys has been pointed to the 168.* ip. Backup can
be done but it is very slow.

Do I need to do anything on the TSM server option file
(dsmserv.opt) or anything else because I didn't change
any TSM server setup? Could I be missing some options?

Hoping for an early and favourable reply from anyone.

Thanks and regards
Ameerul
