There is a clone functionality in RMAN I think it would be quite easy to get
RMAN to restore a database on a different system. the trivky bit is getting
TDP to act like the other node I guess you would need to change the dsm.sys
node name and rerun the password program. Then it's restore database.
Failing that you can always restore the database to an alternate directory
on the original system and then copy it over to the other system.

Might be a bit hard if it's areally large database.

Hi All;

Environment:
SP Complex (7 nodes)
AIX 433 ML10
TSM Server 5162
TSM Clients 415
TDP Oracle 110
Oracle Database (RMAN) 817

The DBA's asked me if they could possibly restore one of their test RMAN
(817) databases onto a different node, as I do not know the answer to this
question I am deferring to all your experts out there.

Thank you in advance for the help;
Theresa
