Paul, Geirr,

Many thanks for your precious help and explanations. What I was triying
to achieve was to build a query that would give me an idea of the
approximative remaining time before my backup stgpool operations would
finish. I thought I could find how much data remained to be copied by
subtracting copy_pool occupancy from primary_pool occupancy, but
apparently I can't do it that way :-(
Thanks anyway !

Arnaud

Hi
I believe Paul is right, but if you want to check for data in copypool,
and not in primary pool, do a restore stgpool "primarypool" preview=yes.
It should tell you if there are data in the copypool which are not in
primarypool. It also tells you which tapes you need to really perform
the restore of the primary pool (if you want to do it -preview=no). Just
my 2 cents...

I think any aggregates that have deleted files in them are still counted
as whole. So, if reclamation ever runs against the primary and any copy
pools it is highly likely some aggregates in one pool would be reclaimed
and in others they may not. The other possibility is you have more than
one primary pool which has had a backup stgpool command to the copy
pool.

Hi* SM'ers,

Could anybody explain me how it is possible that following query :
"select sum (physical_mb), sum (logical_mb), stgpool_name from occupancy
group by stgpool_name" shows me copy-pools occupation bigger than
primary pools ? I first thought it could be related to space reclamation
process, but when I ran that query all reclamation processes where
allready finished (same thresholds for both primary and copy pools), so
I'm stuck :-( Anybody willing to shed some light on me ? Thanks in
advance.

Arnaud
