Re: Is 3575 compatible with #6203 Dual Wide/Ultra-3 SCSI Adapter

No. FC 6203 is Dual LVD adapter and is incompatible with 3575 (which is
HVD). Though 6207 *might* work (and I am not even sure does AIX 5.1 have
drivers for it), it is not supported for p670. The replacement is FC 6204
which is supported and is available (6207 was "withdrawn from marketing"
around 1.5-2 years ago).
Most probably your management will not like the idea for saving on that
SCSI adapter to allow unsupported expensive server but who knows.

Subject: Is 3575 compatible with #6203 Dual Wide/Ultra-3 SCSI
Adapter
Hi all,
I'm moving my TSM server from an F50 to a P670. The problem is that the
SCSI adapters (Feature #6203 - Dual Wide/Ultra-3 SCSI I/O Controller) in
the P670 appear to incompatible with my IBM 3575-L32 tape library. Has
anyone had this problem and if so what did you do?
Also, would the SCSI adapters (Feature #6207 - Ultra SCSI Differential PCI
adapter) in my F50 be compatible with my P670?
Thanks,
Rick
