        lots of archives taken on a regular basis ?
        
        look into the "cleanup archdir" command

             I have TSM server and client ver 5.1.5
        The archives are very much slower than the selctive or incremental 
backups.
        Both are backed up to tapes directly
        Is there anything I can tune or modify at the server or client level to
